Lorne Goldenberg is the owner of The Athletic Conditioning Center, and the Strength Tek Fitness & Wellness Consultants. Strength Tek began operation in November of 1987 as a small company providing services to corporations and athletes. Strength Tek now boasts over 20 full and part time employees who reach out to provide fitness and wellness to over 20,000 people through out North America in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Billerica Mass.
Strength Tek’s client list currently includes Ericsson, Avaya, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Bell Canada, St. Joseph’s Health Center, Hydro Ottawa, Adobe, Agriculture Canada, Environment Canada and numerous athletes through the Athletic Conditioning Center.
Lorne Goldenberg has been very active in the field of sports performance. Having worked in the CFL and 20 years in the NHL, Lorne has been with the following organizations; Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Ottawa Rough Riders, St.Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Windsor Spitfires, Owen Sound Attack, Ottawa 67’s and the University of Ottawa Football Team. Players such as Daniel Alfredsson, Daniel Briere, Zach Bogosian, Steven Stamkos, and Matt Bradley are just a few who seek out his expertise.
Lorne, who graduated from the University of Ottawa with an honors degree in Physical Education, also is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.
Lorne has had a numerous articles published in journals and magazines such as Men’s Journal, Physical, and Ironman, as well as having his first book published by Human Kinetics and co authored by Peter Twist, “Strength Ball Training” Now in its 2nd edition. This book has sold over 70,000 copies world wide, and has recently been translated into Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese.
As a conference presenter Lorne has established himself as one of the key sources for the major fitness and health conferences in North America. He has presented for such organizations as Can Fit Pro, American Fitness Professionals & Associates, Dalhousie and Yale University, National Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, Twist Conditioning, Perform Better and IDEA..
