Lorne Goldenberg is the owner of The Athletic Conditioning Center, Strength Tek Fitness & Wellness Consultants, and Station Seven Reebok in Toronto . Strength Tek began operation in November of 1987 as a small company providing services to corporations and athletes. Strength Tek now boasts over 35 full and part time employees who reach out to provide fitness and wellness to over 20,000 people in Ottawa , Toronto , Belleville , Montreal and Calgary .

Strength Tek’s client list currently includes Nortel Networks, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Bell Canada , Entrust Technologies, Hunt Oil, Hydro Ottawa, Adobe, Agriculture Canada , and numerous athletes through the Athletic Conditioning Center .

Although Strength Tek’s main focus has always been corporate fitness, Lorne Goldenberg has been very active in the field of sports performance. He is currently the Strength & Conditioning Consultant for the Florida Panthers and has also coached for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, Ottawa Rough Riders, St.Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Windsor Spitfires, Owen Sound Attack, and the Ottawa 67’s. The Athletic Conditioning Center is Ottawa ’s first exclusive training facility for athletes where a number of NHL, IHL, AHL, OHL, players come from all over Canada to prepare for competition.

Lorne, who graduated from the University of Ottawa with an honors degree in Physical Education, also is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also a Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant (PFLC) through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. In August of 1997 he was accredited by in Active Release Techniques®, which is a soft tissue injury management system. Lorne was one of the first non-medically trained people to receive this accreditation, providing him with hands on techniques to treat and train soft tissue injuries.

Lorne has had a numerous articles published in journals and magazines such as Men’s Journal, Physical, and Ironman, as well as having his first book published by Human Kinetics and co authored by Peter Twist, “Strength Ball Training”. He has also presented on a regional and national level.

Most recently as a result of his accomplishments in business and the community, Lorne was awarded the Ottawa Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award.
