The Athletic Conditioning Center (ACC), Ottawa's #1 training facility, has a program that will have you getting fit, shredding pounds and building strength before you know it!

The Group Training Program provides you with the flexibility to customize your workout routine to meet your personal goals within your schedule. One program, one fee, endless opportunities!

Offered in a non-competitive atmosphere, this program allows you to set your own objectives: weight loss, improved fitness, enhanced mobility or a fresh challenge. The Group Training Program features different classes in its new dedicated room, offering cardio, strength, core and flexibility training in a safe, exhilarating, and supportive environment. The pre- and post-assessment, online nutrition tool, and access to certified coaches for individual consultations will guarantee you get the most from all your hard work.

Our unique circuit-training format will keep you moving for the entire 60-minute session. Each session follows a similar structure and includes a dynamic warm-up, a circuit-style weight training session with stations focused on upper body, lower body and core strength, conditioning stations set to challenge both your muscles and your lungs, an extra bonus core training or conditioning session, stretching and a cool-down.

Hit The Core

Lean, Fit and Strong to the Core!
The HTC class will focus on multi-planar movements, ensuring that all of the abdominal and lower back muscles are incorporated, for an optimally balanced workout. Mainstream media and the average fitness trainer talk a lot about the core, or the “6 pack abs" look. The actual truth is that an overdeveloped rectus abdominus (6 pack) could lead to muscle imbalances and injuries, and contributes very little to spinal health or sports performance. The theory behind the development of "Hit The Core" is one that is entrenched in many years of research, both in the laboratory and the conditioning room. During this 60-minute class, your body will receive the stimulus it needs to be leaner, fitter, and stronger.

The Group Training Program

The ACC Group Training Program provides everything you need to safely and effectively reach your fitness goals. It features an assessment component (both pre and post), a variety of training sessions each week, an online nutrition tool, and access to Certified Coaches to guide and support you along the way.

Built on the exercise philosophy of Coach Goldenberg and the proven science behind functional training, it uses a multitude of functional training tools such as: stability balls, BOSU balance trainers, Sorinex Landmines, and the TRX trainer. With instruction and motivation from our Certified Coaches, you will reach fitness levels you didn't know were possible!
